How can I hook up a Compaq Deskpro XL 5100 to a Sony Trition or to a Mitsubishi VCR?
I can not find the exact specs for the Deskpro XL 5100, but based on the fact that it came with original OS of Windows 98 or Windows 2000 I doubt that the video adapter has TV out connections. You would need to install a a new video adapter with TV out capabilities usually this would be S-Video, but some have RCA style outputs, or coaxial as well. You would need to make sure the adapter is compatible with the computer motherboard and the operating system. Then you also need to make sure that the input/outputs match what the VCR has installed. Then you also need to consider what software you will need to do what ever type of video transfer or editing that it is you want to do.
