Where can I get Dell Dimension E310 hard drive rails?
So I ordered a new hard drive from NewEgg to get a good deal, but the morons at Dell did not include a spare set of hard drive rails in the spare hard drive bay in my desktop, and I'm screwed because I can't get them anywhere!!! Dell apparently only sells them if you buy an actual hard drive from them (b**tards) and nowhere else seems to carry them. So I have a new hard drive and no way to install the thing!! I must have gotten screwed somewhere along the line because I would think that thousands of people would go through this if Dell never included spare hard drive rails.
The part number is apparently K7168. Dell claims the hard drive rails do not come with the computer, I think they are $&%^*!^&!....
Yeah, you did get shafted. The extra hard drive rails should have been inside the case. If I recall, they may not be right inside the actual drive bay, but attached to the side someplace. Anyway, I'm sure you looked everywhere already.
