What is a high quality brand of caulking and stain for a log home?
Theres hundreds of products out there to choose from.I am looking for high quality.
most stains are of enough quality to use on most woods. the caulk is what you need to get right. DO NOT USE 100% silicon. contrary to what most believe, its not a good caulk for most home uses.a gutter seal caulk or a rubberized bath caulk is what you'll need. however recent new products are far better than the norm. theres a type of butyl caulk that really bonds to any surface and has a 20 year warranty . its costly , but if you only gotta do it once, then its way worth it .
