What is the best way to digitally transfer Kodak Ektachrome slides?
My mom has a bunch of old Kodak Ektachrome slides from the 1950's and 60's and we're trying to find a way to scan them to add to her digital family photo album. Our scanner can't do it (it's a Canon CanoScan 4100 that can only transfer 35mm slides). The slides that she has are about 2x2 inch slides (when taken out of the metal holder). She already tried calling a local photo place to see if they could transfer them to CD for her but they said that they would have to see them first as they thought their equipment might not be able to properly scan them? Do they make any type of scanners that have larger backlighting lamps? Or are there any other ways of scanning these?
Try looking at the epson V500 ... under $200.
Are you saying that your mothers transparencies are in a different format than 35 mm?
The cost of scanning transparencies can be from $1.50 to $10 each ... depending upon the quality and resolution you require.
